Use AI to score, forecast and summarise finance work — people still approve credit, payments and trades

RIA’s AI in Finance course in Chennai applies machine learning and assistants to finance operations: credit and risk signals, forecasts for planning, transaction-review queues, and research notes a person can check.

Portfolio screening and market research sit in AI in Investment. Books, reconciliation and GST workings sit in AI in Accounting. This course does not place trades, give investment advice, or promise returns.

Classroom batches run at Purasawalkam (City Center, 186 Purasawalkam High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai 600010) and Saligramam (Venkatesa Nagar, Virugambakkam, Chennai 600092). Call +91 98843 63200.

Domain literacy + applied AI labs + responsible review + capstone

  • AI in Finance

We teach applied AI for finance operations — credit and risk signals, planning forecasts, transaction-review queues and research briefs. A person still approves credit, payments and any market action. Portfolio work sits in AI in Investment. This is not investment advice and not an auto-trading course.

    Domain Knowledge We Teach
    • How credit, treasury, FP&A and reporting teams use a number
    • Statements, ledgers and transaction files: what must reconcile
    • Risk, loss and forecast error in plain language
    • KYC, AML and fairness limits on customer decisions
    • Where a model may suggest, and where a person must sign
    AI Skills You Will Learn
    • Credit and risk scores with reasons a reviewer can read
    • Forecasts for planning, with an error band and stated assumptions
    • Queues that surface unusual payments for a human check
    • Assistants that summarise a filing or earnings note and cite the source
    • Checks for bias and missing data before a score is shown
    Hands-on Outcomes
    • Build a credit or risk score prototype with an approval button
    • Produce a planning forecast and write down where it can fail
    • Design a transaction-review queue and the escalation rule
    • Draft a one-page limit: no unsupervised trades, no guaranteed returns
    • Present a finance AI case study to a non-quant manager

Common questions

  • Is AI in Finance the same as AI in Investment?

No. AI in Finance covers credit, planning, reporting and transaction review. AI in Investment covers portfolio analytics and market research. Many learners take both.

  • Will this build an auto-trading bot or give stock tips?

No. Models assist analysis. Trades, credit decisions and payments stay with a person. The course is not investment advice and does not promise returns.

  • Is this SEBI, CFA or CA preparation?

No. It is an applied AI specialisation. Professional licences and chartered qualifications are separate pathways.

  • Where is the course taught in Chennai?

At RIA Purasawalkam, City Center, 186 Purasawalkam High Road, Kilpauk 600010, and RIA Saligramam, 1st Cross Street, Venkatesa Nagar, Virugambakkam 600092.

  • Do I need a finance degree?

Helpful, not required. Commerce and finance graduates start faster on statements. Engineers and data graduates start with finance literacy and then the labs.

Skills you build

  • Credit and risk score prototypes with an override
  • Planning forecasts that show error, not a single magic number
  • Transaction-review queues for unusual activity
  • Source-cited finance briefs for a manager

Who this is for

  • Commerce, finance and economics graduates
  • Analysts in banks, NBFCs, fintech and corporate FP&A
  • Data scientists moving into finance operations
  • Business analysts who already use Excel, Tally or SAP reports
