Learn how an AI cluster is run: machines, queues, storage and the checks before a model is served

RIA’s AI in Infrastructure course in Chennai is for people who will sit with a GPU cluster: what the machines are, how a job is queued, how storage and a high-speed fabric fit, and which checks happen before a model is served.

You learn operations literacy. The course does not hand out switch configurations for a network you do not administer, and it does not teach intrusion. Vendor certificates for NVIDIA infrastructure stay with NVIDIA.

Application deployment on cloud sits beside Cloud, DevOps & AI. This page is the accelerated-cluster specialization.

The subject map follows the public self-paced catalogue at NVIDIA training. RIA teaches these subjects in Chennai. NVIDIA courses, cloud labs and certificates stay with NVIDIA. Completion here is a RIA record.

What you will learn

  • What a training cluster contains: compute, storage, network, scheduler
  • GPU nodes and why one job can need many of them
  • Queues, quotas and a failed job log
  • Fabric ideas in plain language: Ethernet, a faster interconnect, remote memory
  • An operator checklist before a model is exposed
  • Who is allowed to change a production system
  • How this differs from an application DevOps pipeline
  • A runbook a new teammate can follow

Domain literacy + applied AI labs + responsible review + capstone

  • AI in Infrastructure

We teach how an AI cluster is operated: machines, queues, storage, fabric literacy and the check before serving. The subject map follows the public self-paced catalogue at NVIDIA training. RIA teaches these subjects in Chennai. NVIDIA courses, cloud labs and certificates stay with NVIDIA. Completion here is a RIA record.

    Domain Knowledge We Teach
    • Compute, storage, network and the scheduler
    • A job, a queue and a quota
    • What a high-speed fabric is for
    • The difference between a lab box and a shared cluster
    • Who may change production
    AI Skills You Will Learn
    • Draw a cluster and name each part’s job
    • Read a failed-job log and state the next check
    • Write the checks before a model endpoint is opened
    • Separate an application deploy from a cluster change
    Hands-on Outcomes
    • An operations brief
    • A runbook of one page
    • A checklist with an owner for each line
    • A clear statement that vendor exams are separate

Common questions

  • Is this NVIDIA’s infrastructure certification?

No. You learn the operating ideas. NVIDIA’s associate and professional exams are taken with NVIDIA.

  • Will I configure a live data-centre switch?

No. Labs use diagrams, logs and a lab cluster or a simulated queue. You do not receive configs for someone else’s network.

  • Is this the same as Cloud and DevOps?

Cloud and DevOps is the application path. This course is the GPU-cluster path: nodes, jobs, fabric and serving checks.

  • Where is it taught?

RIA Purasawalkam and RIA Saligramam, Chennai.

Skills you build

  • A cluster diagram with the four parts named
  • A job log you can explain
  • A pre-serve checklist
  • A one-page runbook

Who this is for

  • System administrators moving toward AI platforms
  • DevOps engineers who will meet a GPU cluster
  • IT graduates who want operations rather than model research
  • Team leads who must brief a facilities or IT group
