AI in HR

School of Management · People records and hiring notes

Use AI to summarise a CV and draft the next HR note — a person still decides

RIA’s AI in HR course in Chennai applies assistants to people records you already hold: summarising a CV against the published job description, flagging an incomplete application, and drafting interview questions a hiring manager can edit.

Payroll, GST and the books stay in AI in Accounting. SAP HCM configuration stays on the SAP S/4HANA track. This course does not reject, hire, or exit anyone by itself, and it does not teach scoring on caste, religion, gender, age, disability, or proxies for those. It does not teach covert monitoring. A named person makes the decision.

Classroom batches run at Purasawalkam (City Center, 186 Purasawalkam High Road, Kilpauk, Chennai 600010) and Saligramam (Venkatesa Nagar, Virugambakkam, Chennai 600092). Call +91 98843 63200.

What you will learn

  • What an HR record is: requisition, application, interview note, policy, case
  • CV summaries that cite the lines and the published job description
  • Incomplete applications and duplicate candidates a recruiter can assign
  • Interview questions and offer-note drafts a person edits
  • Handbook answers taken from the policy already published
  • Survey themes a manager reads, not a secret score
  • A review queue ordered by stated skills, which a person can reorder
  • What the assistant may draft, and what it must not decide
  • Capstone: a reviewed hiring file with every draft checked

Domain literacy + applied AI labs + responsible review + capstone

  • AI in HR

We teach applied AI for HR operations — CV summaries against the published role, incomplete-file lists, and interview or policy drafts. A person still decides who is interviewed, hired, or exited. Payroll stays in AI in Accounting. This is not an automatic-reject course, and it does not teach scoring on caste, religion, gender, age, disability, covert monitoring, or invented attendance and reviews.

    Domain Knowledge We Teach
    • Requisition, application, interview note, policy and case — what each record is for
    • A complete application versus a duplicate or a missing document
    • Consent: what may be stored from a candidate, and what may be said to them
    • A published job description versus a guess about the person
    • Where an assistant may draft, and where a person must decide
    AI Skills You Will Learn
    • Summarise a CV using only lines that match the published role
    • List incomplete applications, missing owners and likely duplicates
    • Draft interview questions and a policy answer the owner can edit
    • Order a review queue by stated skills, without rejecting anyone
    • Check that a shortlist did not filter on a protected characteristic
    Hands-on Outcomes
    • Build an exception list a recruiter can assign
    • Produce five CV summaries that cite the source lines
    • Write the rule: nothing is hired, rejected, or exited without a named person
    • Mark which drafts were edited, dropped, or approved
    • Present a reviewed hiring file, including a summary the model got wrong

Common questions

  • Will the software reject candidates by itself?

No. Assistants summarise and draft. A named person decides who is interviewed, hired, promoted, warned, or exited. The course does not run unattended screening.

  • Does this teach bias detection against people?

It teaches a check that a shortlist cites the job description, and that protected characteristics were not used as filters. It does not teach how to infer or hide caste, religion, gender, age, or disability.

  • Is this an SAP HCM or labour-law qualification?

No. SAP HCM configuration stays on the SAP S/4HANA track. Labour-law letters and statutory filings stay with the employer and their counsel. This is applied HR work with AI.

  • Where is the course taught in Chennai?

At RIA Purasawalkam, City Center, 186 Purasawalkam High Road, Kilpauk 600010, and RIA Saligramam, 1st Cross Street, Venkatesa Nagar, Virugambakkam 600092.

  • Do I need an HR background?

Useful, not required. We teach requisitions, applications and consent first. Recruiters and HR coordinators move faster into the review labs.

Skills you build

  • CV summaries tied to the published role
  • Incomplete-file and duplicate lists a recruiter can assign
